How we look after your details.

Timescape Live Escape Games ("Timescape", "we") runs escape rooms in Belfast. This page explains what personal information we collect when you book, visit, message us or use our website, what we do with it, and the choices you have. What we collect and why

Bookings and gift vouchers. When you book a game or buy a gift voucher we collect your name, email address, phone number, the details of the booking and your team name if you give one. We use these to run your booking, send confirmations, reminders and receipts, contact you about changes, and keep the accounting records the law requires. Card payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Unfinished bookings. If you enter your contact details during a booking and do not finish it, we may send you one reminder email in case you want to pick it up again.

Email updates. If you sign up on our website or tick the box when booking, we send occasional news and offers by email. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop at any time.

Chat assistant. Our website chat, and our Facebook Messenger and Instagram inboxes, are answered first by an automated assistant that uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. The text you send is passed to Anthropic to produce a reply, and conversations are stored by us so our team can review them and step in when the assistant cannot help. Please do not send card details through chat. If the assistant passes your question to the team, a person replies by email or in the same chat.

Messaging us on Facebook or Instagram. When you message our page or account, Meta gives us your message, your name and your profile photo so that we can reply. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy as well. Our team can also read and reply to your messages in the normal way.

Enquiries, team days and jobs. When you fill in a form, email us or apply for a role, we keep what you send us for as long as needed to deal with the request.

Team photos and leaderboards. After your game we take a team photo and record your team name and time. The photo is shared with your team by link, and team names, times and photos may appear on the leaderboards and photo wall on our website and on the screens at our venues. Tell your game host before the photo if you would rather not appear.

Reviews. We display reviews that you have posted publicly on Google or TripAdvisor, showing the name and text as they appear there.

Website. Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used, which sets cookies, and essential cookies that the booking and payment steps need to work. We do not sell your information to anyone.

Who else sees it

We share information only with the services that help us run the business: Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (sending our emails), Anthropic (the chat assistant), Meta (Facebook and Instagram messaging), Buzzshot (team photos and leaderboards) and Google (analytics). Each of these only receives what it needs for its part of the job. We will also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Chat conversations and enquiries are kept so that we can follow up and improve the assistant, then deleted when no longer needed. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. Team photos and leaderboard entries stay up unless you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent for marketing. Email info@timescapegames.com and we will act within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Deleting your data

To have your details removed, including anything you sent us on Facebook Messenger or Instagram, email info@timescapegames.com with the subject "Delete my data" from the address you used with us, or message us on the same channel. We will delete what we are not legally required to keep and confirm when it is done.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
